Decorating Fun

So I've gotten brave and changed things around in my house and actually did some decorating! I'm pleased with the outcome.
First is the border I painted in the girls room, still don't know what to do in the middle of the border. Little kid like words? Or these cute little oldfashioned children? And then do I do it black or what color...hmmm I don't know.

Before

After

I also moved my computer, especially since I have to put the bassinnet back in my room where the computer use to reside. I do love where I put my computer. But now I'm trying to decide do I leave it how it is? or add a hutch make it more traditional looking, but it will make my living room seem even more filled up. Or maybe I should do something like this. What do you think?

Day 30

Day 30--A picture of someone you miss.
The last day, the last picture of the challenge.
I miss lots of people who have gone from my life.
But Justin is probably number one.
He was a great cousin, even if he could be a pain.
I would have loved to have him know my girls.
But there is another plan involved in our plans.
So they'll just have to wait to meet.

Day 29

Day 29--A picture that makes you smile.
Lambs.
They make me smile.
Out in the field frolicking around.
Ya, I love them.
Who wouldn't?
They are so sweet and innoccent

Total chaos...

...running through my mind.

Like do I go and wash laundry at the place I don't care too, since my regular place is flu infested? Or do it tommorrow and clean house today?

I am happy I've gotten lots of sewing done the past week. And I feel ready to finish some more.

I'm getting excited to meet this little girl of ours. We still don't know what to name her. I guess I have about five weeks...maybe.

Made some changes to my house. Like hung the hall curtain. Painted a border strip in the girls room...still needs the finishing touches. Carson put together my computer desk yesterday.

I need to start dragging the baby stuff back out...really don't want to.

Should get a hospital bag ready...procrastinating there too.

We all have colds here...no fun at all.

But our first calf of the year is here.

And they've dug to hook our water connection up.

Page is becoming quite the talker with the words; hot, shoe, out, milk, bottle, dad, moo, and whatsthat, entering her vocabulary.

Daisy is becoming much more understandable and reasonable too.

They are growing up.

Started weaning miss Daisy off the sippy cup, so I can start potty training her. Hopefully I can get some kind of running water in the house before we undertake the chore. And hopefully it works this time.

What else is fun? Page is getting her four last teeth, well until 2 yr old molars. She is so clingy and whiny.

So what your thoughts? Like my random pictures? Oh wait they didn't upload. Sorry. Maybe next time! Have a great Monday!!

Day 28

Day 28--A Picture of something your afraid of.
Number one on my list is the unknown. (Catastrophic Unknown)
But that is something that we have to live with.
As a young girl it was the dark.
But really I'm scared of somebody hurting my little girls and
my house burning down.
That would suck.

Day 27

Day 27-- A picture of you and a family member.
Well this is easy.
Daisy and I.
How she has changed my life.
She is the one that made me a mother.
This picture is from March 2009.
Preg Checking Cows at 10 months old.

Day 26

Day 26--A picture of something that means a lot to you.
My wedding day.
What a beautiful day.
And I married this guy for all eternity.
We will have an eternal family.
Its great.

Day 25

Day 25--A picture of my day.
Well here is some pictures of something that happens regularly.
A little adventure that Daisy goes on.
There is deviation of where she goes each day.
But one this is certain.
She is going to explore!
So I get to follow her down and bring her home.
This incident happened the first part of March.
Took her 10 mins.
If that.
Latest incident was yesterday.
So far today has been good.
She's just gone to the haystack and checked on the cows.
Well what would you do if you had 160 acres to roam around?

This picture is from the corner of my house.

Day 24

Day 24--A picture of something you wish you could change.
Koda's work schedule.
Not that he really has a schedule.
He just works all the time.
So I would want a schedule.
Ya that would be nice.

Day 23

Day 23--A picture of your favorite book. Seriously I have to pick a favorite????
Well I really liked this one that I just finished.

And this one is really good too.

But an all time favorite??
Hmm Maybe this one.

Day 22

Day 22-- A picture of something you wish you were better at.
Decorating.
I'm just way insecure in this area.
I want it to be perfect the first time.
Oh ya this is my dream kitchen...

Monday, March 21, 2011

Day 21

Day 21-- A picture of something you wish you could forget.
Well this is hard.
Like I want to remember and take a picture of something I'd rather forget.
So I'll comical.
Today is laundry day.
I'd rather sew.
I wish I could just turn my back on my pile of laundry and forget it.
Tough luck.

Future Addict?

Day 19

DAy 19--A picture and a Letter

Marlynn,
It’s the beginning of your junior year of high school. Your boyfriend just left on a mission and left you heartbroken. It’s sad to say, but it’s the best thing that will happen to you and for him, especially when you go your own ways in a few months. He can totally focus on what he needs to be focusing on and you can focus on what you need to focus on.
Here in a couple of months you will start dating somebody new, that you think is just so wonderful. When really all he does is drag you down and make you feel like you need him to be complete. The best thing for you to do is to just break up with him, the first time the thought crosses your mind at the end of the school year. But you won’t you’ll stick around for almost two more years. But then again, who knows where you would be if you did break it off. Would you have learned the lesson you needed to and become a better person, so then you can be a better wife and mother, since you had to become and really depend upon your savior? I don’t know. I wish you could know that and learn that from within that first five months. But I believe that you had to really get down low so you could climb back up and become great.
I wish though you could have dated more guys and different ones throughout your college experience, before you re-met the man you were to marry. But it all turns out good and you end up with a great hardworking husband and two beautiful girls with a third almost here. You end up having a pretty great life. So prepare yourself, you’ll be trudging through despair and the trenches for a little while, but once you see the light, it makes life so much better. And you’re world will be much more complete.
Marlynn

Day 18

Day 18-- A picture of your biggest insecurity.
This is a hard one.
I would have to say my biggest insecurity is...
Not doing something perfect the first time.
I know, funny since I'm always messing up.
But seriously this is the reason my house isn't sporting more decorations on the wall and all.
I'm scared it won't be perfect the first time.
Stupid, I know.
But that is it, especially with the big stuff.
Like not making payments and stuff.
Guess that's why I'm so particular about getting everything paid off PRONTO!
I don't want to be homeless.

Day 16 & Day 17

Day 16-- A picture of someone who inspires you.
This was a hard one.
I have plently of things that inspire me.
But someone....
I'm going to go with my great-great grandma Mary Chew.
It's amazing what she did and how she lived her life.

Day 17-- A picture of something that has made a huge impact on your life recently.
Thats easy.
Water.
OR the lack thereof.
I won't know what to do with running water once I get it.
No idea.

Thoughts, Thoughts, Thoughts

I need to get some pictures uploaded on my computer.
It's a Tuesday, Cleaning Day in other words.
I'm wanting to decorate, decorate, decorate, but no idea what to do or where to start.
I have finally decided on what border print I'm doing in the girls room.
Now I need to decide on colors. Time to go shopping!!
Finally going to just order some curtains for my living room.
Tired of having none and I can't find any material that I just LOVE to make some.
I'm also wanting to dejunk my house, not that I have that much junk.
I have a bunch of material and material scraps that I would like to get rid of...don't know how to though.
Also thinking about getting rid of some books that I don't just LOVE.
Need to make room for more books that I do LOVE!
Really want to organinze and dejunk my storage unit, but I really think thats a summer project.
Probably going to have a garage sale this summer.
I need to.
Feeling the need to start dragging the baby stuff back into the house.
I'm going to hold off.
I don't need all that extra stuff just yet, I still have six weeks.
Wanting to make some spring dresses for my girls.
Not sure what pattern or material to use.
Got some baby gifts and things that need done first though.
MIL wants my family in browns for family picture in May.
I'm tired of brown, I want something springy.
Got a new book yesterday, its cute so far.
Guess I should go mop now and get off the computer.
Hope you have a good Tuesday.

Day 15

Day 15--A picture of something you want to do before you die.
This was a hard one.
Really I just want to grow old and watch my family grow old.
I guess I really should get a set of different goals down that don't include just family stuff.
But I would like to do this.
Participate in a Pony Express Challenge.
It's an endurance challenge for you and your horse.
There is different styles, ones that last for a few days, to ones that last across the country.

Monday, March 14, 2011

Day 13 & Day 14

Day 13-- A picture of your favorite artist or band.
Hands down that is Chris Ledoux. Although I'll admit it, I LOVE Zack Browns voice, its almost like I'm having an affair on my husbands voice, thats how much I love his voice. But Good ole' Chris is number one.

Day 14-- A picture of someone you couldn't imagine your life without.
This is hard, cause I would have a very hard time adjusting to life without some people in my life, Koda, the girls, my parents, even missing my siblings would be way hard. But because of the knowledge and faith I have in a greater plan, I know I will see them all again. So I guess the hardest thing would to not have that faith, to not know who my Savior is, to not have Jesus Christ in my life. So he tops my list, and right after it's Koda.

Tuesday Thoughts

  • About 5:49 this morning I woke up in a panic when I realized my dear husband was still in bed. He was supposed to be at work at 4:30!!!! Turns out he's got the next four days off. :)
  • This pregnancy is so weird and I feel like it's kicking my butt. I know I shouldn't be complaining, cause others have way worse pregnancies, but this is by far my worst one.
  • Month three of no water has begun. Hopefully by the end of this month I'll have some.
  • Starting to feel the urge to get my house deep cleaned and prepared for the baby.
  • I'm ready for bed already and its not even noon.
  • I'm going to go take a nap.

Days 6, 7, & 8

So I've had the computer turned off for a few days now, its been nice. So to catch up on my Challenge.

Day 6-- A picture of someone you'd love to trade places with for a day.
This was an interesting one cause I really don't know who to trade places with. Someone famous? Like Queen Victoria or Barbie maybe. Or maybe someone closer to home, my mom or grandma. But
truly I would love to trade places with a younger version of myself. Anywhere from the age of two to like age teten would be perfect. Life was so carefree and worryless. Yep thats who'd I be. A little girl again.

Day 7--A picture of your most treasured item
Obviously my most treasured item is my family followed closely by my knowledge of life. But I'll go more materilistic for this challenge. My truck. I love it, I'm sad that only a couple of kids away I'll have to get a new one. It's sad.

Day 8--A picture that makes you laugh
If this picture doesn't make you laugh, then I don't know what will. The great thing is, I get to live with this little comedian.

Saturday, March 5, 2011

Day 5

Day 5 with Day 4's challenge. A picture of your night.
My most favorite thing about night time is when Koda comes home and the big smiles and hugs he gets from his little girls...yes even his big girl. I love the that hour of interaction that goes on between him and our kids and the obvious love that is shining from both parts. This picture of them all sitting and reading by each other, this in no way happens every night it is something different, but I have captured this moment on film for all to see.

Day 4 (30 Day Photo Challenge)

So I'm switching Day 4 & 5 around, for I'm at my mom's today since Page is now sick and I don't have water to use the washing machine to keep enough blankets clean for her. The picture I want to use for Day 4 is on my computer, so I'll do Day 5 A picture of a favorite memory. So here is Day 5's Challenge on Day

Feeding Cows.

Ty in tractor, Janessa and I on the hay
I've feed cows my entire life and what a joy it has been. I know totally crazy sounding, chores aren't supposed to be fun. But believe me when you are a kid they are a blast. Just ask my almost 3 year old. The minute its time to feed cows I know about it. And if we are going to the ranch oh, she is first in line to help feed. I know that I was much the same way, just as my siblings all were. As I've gotten older I've realized that I'm  a part of a minority who got to have this kind of lifestyle on an everyday basis. And I'm so lucky! I can't imagine growing up any other way and to all of you who didn't get to experience these kinds of things, I'm sorry, cause it is truly something worth experiencing, especially as a young child! I'm also so very grateful that I can raise my children much the same way and I hope that they enjoy it as much as I did. Of course, I think they are well on their way according to past adventures.

Day 3 (30 Day Photo Challenge)

A picture of the cast from my favorite show. Well I'm going with my favorite TV show GREEK!!!

Day 2 (30 Day Photo Challenge)

Day 2...A picture of you and someone you've been the closest to the longest. At first thought I think of Elizabeth my best friend from childhood and grade school, same with Erica. But as I look farther back I think of my twin cousin Quayle, my sister Janessa, and my cousin KaDee. The more I ponder it though and try to pick who I've been the closest to the longest. My sister is the one who wins out. She has been there for 22 years of my life and has always been my friend. As it turns out I don't have a recent picture of us on my computer, they are all on my laptop, so I'm going with a favorite of mine of us. This was when I was 2.5 years and she was 1 years in the winter of 1989. (Wow....that seems forever ago!)
