A Day of Skirts

Today I got three skirts sewed. My plan was to get two finished for my nieces that we give to for Christmas...but now that I have them done, and Daisy has already tried one on...I may just keep them for her. I was also able to get one made for Page. Is that selfish of me to keep them for my girls? I originally bought the material to make skirts for my girls, but then later on decided to make them for the nieces. Problem is, I don't know if their mom will have them wear them. Whereas I know my girls will wear them....hmmm....I don't know what to do...What do you think? I think they turned out really cute!

Isn't it amazing how two skirts can look so different even will all the same fabric's used in them?

Oh and can you believe it...its already December!! Crazy. In 23 almost 22 days my baby girl will be a walking one year old...snifff...so fast.

**Edit** I've decided to give the skirts to the nieces. I think they will love them and have a lot of fun with them! Plus they are so easy to make, I can make Daisy tons! **

Halloween 2010

Little Bo Peep, Her lost sheep, and the doggie

Well once again Halloween has snuck up and left us in the dust. This year we had lots of fun dressing the girls up. Page was a darling little lamb (thanks to Rashell for borrowing the costume to me!) and Daisy was Little Bo Peep. I had lots of fun making Daisy's costume and its a dress!!! She can wear it to play in!!! Yay!!!! We had lots of fun.

We went and seen Koda's grandmas and then went trunk-or-treating with Shasta and Tracy and their motley crew of kids. It was lots of fun going with all the cousins together.

On Friday night we went to the pumpkin festival with Koda and had fun looking at all the pumpkins, but we left very quickly. I still had to cook dinner and get a husband to bed so he could be to work by 4:30. Ah what the husband does for his little family!

MIA

Lately you've probably noticed I've been seriously Missing In Action. I'd love to say it was because I was throughly deep cleaning my house and it is now spotless...but I have a two yearold and a 10 month old, NOT POSSIBLE! Actually its because we've been having so much fun this weekend, which is a great reason to be MIA.

My brother and a couple of his roomates came out this weekend so we went and met them Friday and then were back out at the ranch Saturday and Sunday as well. Daisy was SO happy to see her Uncle Ty I wish I had gotten a picture of her running to him. She never left his side. She also got to riding Friday and Saturday...She loves it, everymoring I have to explain once again why we can't go "RIDE" that day. She's my daughter no doubt about that. I was also able to get some Salsa canned. It is wonderful. I used the reciepe from Get off Your Butt and Bake. Love her blog!

Monday I got most of my laundry done and my kitchen windows washed, now I just need to get the rest of the house's washed. We also stopped by and talked to my in-laws for a while that night. Lots of good converstation and Daisy and Page got to play with their cousins.

Tuesday is usally my cleaning day, I usually can't go much longer then a week without doing a through cleaning of my house. Like moping and dusting, and the bathroom. Well Koda didn't have to go to work, so we went up and visited his dad at camp (he's still elk hunting! and tommorrow he'll head up to deer hunt.) Then we stopped by my parents place and ate some yummy mutton steaks with them. Also found out my sister has set a wedding date...Feb 26, 2011. So Congrats to her, So excited!

So here it is Wednesday and I have a mile long To-Do list since I've been putting everything off. But I've gotten the laundry folded and the bathroom cleaned, as well as all the dusting done. Next is the sweeping and the moping then I'll pickup the Living Room and the girls room and get to Vaccuming. Then hopefully I'll be able to get some more windows done.

Also So sorry about no pictures, I have a bunch from this weekend I want to upload, but blogger won't let me at the moment. So hopefully soon.

Some more interesting things happening in my life. Page has decided she is no longer intersted in nursing, she's cut herself down to two almost once a day...its sad...but I'm ok with it. So I've been trying to get her to take a bottle or a sippy (I would much prefer the sippy...didn't work) with something in it. I've tried everything, last night she took a bottle with just plain old milk, now I know that your suppose to wait till they are a year old, but if thats what she wants, that's what I'll give her. She again took it just now for her nap, so our nursing days may be over. I've also completed most of Daisy's halloween costume and since its a dress she wants to wear it all the time. Also Koda should be off tommorrow and then for like 14 days!!! Some of that he'll be deer hunting but oh well. I'm happy!

Have a great day Ya'll!!!

Jump Rope Dress

The last two days (Thursday and Friday) I've been working on some sewing projects. I was able to finish my baby shower gift and I sewed up this Jump Rope Dress.
At first this dress intimidate me it had some finishing detail that was kinda scary ie:collar and plackets. But really it was a very easy dress to do.
I've also had to patch it already thanks to Daisy wanting to help and cutting into the placket, but luckly I had some scrap material ok just barely enough, I actually dug through the trash can to find it and was able to fix it. I think its adorable.

Strip Pleated Pieced skirt.

So about a week or two ago the Moda Bake Shop had this wonderful tutorial on this darling pleated skirt. So I proceed to go and buy fabric that day and that night in two hours I whipped it up! And now here I am two weeks later finally with pictures to show you. I was so hard to find a shirt to match it and last night I finally put a white shirt on Daisy just so I could take a picture. And finally this morning I found a plain brown shirt that matches! I was so happy. Now today I'm going to make Page's skirt to match. They are going to be so Cute!!! OH and yes I'll admit it, I already have two other skirts planned for Daisy and the fabric bought and cut out, just need sewn. Haha I'm addicted...I'll admit it!

Oh and we've got to throw in a picture of my beautiful Page! The minute the door is open she starts crawling to get outside! Its so funny!

Dress Time

So this is Princess in her newest dress. She LOVES dresses and thinks she has to wear one every day (yes even working cows she thinks she needs one), so I decided to make her a bunch of little dresses to wear cause it was cheaper and they are fast to put together. Well here is number one of the lot. One thing is certain it would've gone together a lot quicker if I hadn't had four kids four and under for two days when I decided to make it. Haha next time I'll know better. Anyways just had to show off my most recent sewing project. I think it turned out great!
