My Kitchen

This week I've been busy cleaning, cleaning, and organizing my kitchen. Koda gave me a hard time yesterday. He's all "Your about ready to pop out a baby, and here you are super cleaning this kitchen." Yes so I'm a woman, I'm pregnant, and it's Spring, give me a break. So I've done the different organizing challenges posted here pertaining to the kitchen as well as all my other cupboards countertops, ect. So here's the before and afters to prove it!

The Freezer and the fridge will be done at a later date. I just filled my freezer up with a bunch of meat, going to wait till this fall when it's emptier and I'm a bit less prego to clean it. The fridge I plan on doing next week. Now onto today which is the dresser drawers...or in my case going through the girls clothes and bringing out baby clothes to put into the "new" dresser we have. Have fun today!!

Weekend Fun

Even though the weather was kinda miserable we had a fun productive weekend. We helped my family shear sheep. The girls LOVED it. Here's some fun pictures from the weekend.

Also my organizing challeng pictures. The challenge was to clean off and organize the computer desk. Well seeing how I just got a new desk and its all cleaned and organized, I thought I would do the desk area were the computer use to be, the baby is going to be for a few months, and maybe one day I can make it my crafting area.

Organizing Challenge

Lately I've been really drawn to organizing blogs. Probably something to do with nesting eh?
Well so over here at A Bowl Full of Lemons she had a 21 Day challenge at the first of the year. Well I'm going to do it. I'm due the thirtieth...21 days away...perfect. I started it yesterday figured it would help to give my need to organize some direction, so I wouldn't get feeling overwhelmed and then depressed. Now I know the baby will come whenever (I'm actually hoping she shows up a little early) so I'll be doing a few challenges on the same day. So lets go!! Here's her button to hook up, I also have it on my sidebar.
And now off to challenge #1 The Junk Drawer. In my case it is a Junk shelf, seeing how I only have two drawers in my kitchen area and those are used for wash clothes and towels and cooking utensils. So here's my collage of before and afters.

Looks much better huh?

Day 30

Day 30--A picture of someone you miss.
The last day, the last picture of the challenge.
I miss lots of people who have gone from my life.
But Justin is probably number one.
He was a great cousin, even if he could be a pain.
I would have loved to have him know my girls.
But there is another plan involved in our plans.
So they'll just have to wait to meet.

Day 28

Day 28--A Picture of something your afraid of.
Number one on my list is the unknown. (Catastrophic Unknown)
But that is something that we have to live with.
As a young girl it was the dark.
But really I'm scared of somebody hurting my little girls and
my house burning down.
That would suck.

Day 25

Day 25--A picture of my day.
Well here is some pictures of something that happens regularly.
A little adventure that Daisy goes on.
There is deviation of where she goes each day.
But one this is certain.
She is going to explore!
So I get to follow her down and bring her home.
This incident happened the first part of March.
Took her 10 mins.
If that.
Latest incident was yesterday.
So far today has been good.
She's just gone to the haystack and checked on the cows.
Well what would you do if you had 160 acres to roam around?

This picture is from the corner of my house.

Tough luck.

Day 19

DAy 19--A picture and a Letter

Marlynn,
It’s the beginning of your junior year of high school. Your boyfriend just left on a mission and left you heartbroken. It’s sad to say, but it’s the best thing that will happen to you and for him, especially when you go your own ways in a few months. He can totally focus on what he needs to be focusing on and you can focus on what you need to focus on.
Here in a couple of months you will start dating somebody new, that you think is just so wonderful. When really all he does is drag you down and make you feel like you need him to be complete. The best thing for you to do is to just break up with him, the first time the thought crosses your mind at the end of the school year. But you won’t you’ll stick around for almost two more years. But then again, who knows where you would be if you did break it off. Would you have learned the lesson you needed to and become a better person, so then you can be a better wife and mother, since you had to become and really depend upon your savior? I don’t know. I wish you could know that and learn that from within that first five months. But I believe that you had to really get down low so you could climb back up and become great.
I wish though you could have dated more guys and different ones throughout your college experience, before you re-met the man you were to marry. But it all turns out good and you end up with a great hardworking husband and two beautiful girls with a third almost here. You end up having a pretty great life. So prepare yourself, you’ll be trudging through despair and the trenches for a little while, but once you see the light, it makes life so much better. And you’re world will be much more complete.
Marlynn

Day 18

Day 18-- A picture of your biggest insecurity.
This is a hard one.
I would have to say my biggest insecurity is...
Not doing something perfect the first time.
I know, funny since I'm always messing up.
But seriously this is the reason my house isn't sporting more decorations on the wall and all.
I'm scared it won't be perfect the first time.
Stupid, I know.
But that is it, especially with the big stuff.
Like not making payments and stuff.
Guess that's why I'm so particular about getting everything paid off PRONTO!
I don't want to be homeless.

Day 16 & Day 17

Day 16-- A picture of someone who inspires you.
This was a hard one.
I have plently of things that inspire me.
But someone....
I'm going to go with my great-great grandma Mary Chew.
It's amazing what she did and how she lived her life.

Day 17-- A picture of something that has made a huge impact on your life recently.
Thats easy.
Water.
OR the lack thereof.
I won't know what to do with running water once I get it.
No idea.

Day 15

Day 15--A picture of something you want to do before you die.
This was a hard one.
Really I just want to grow old and watch my family grow old.
I guess I really should get a set of different goals down that don't include just family stuff.
But I would like to do this.
Participate in a Pony Express Challenge.
It's an endurance challenge for you and your horse.
There is different styles, ones that last for a few days, to ones that last across the country.

Monday, March 14, 2011

Day 13 & Day 14

Day 13-- A picture of your favorite artist or band.
Hands down that is Chris Ledoux. Although I'll admit it, I LOVE Zack Browns voice, its almost like I'm having an affair on my husbands voice, thats how much I love his voice. But Good ole' Chris is number one.

Day 14-- A picture of someone you couldn't imagine your life without.
This is hard, cause I would have a very hard time adjusting to life without some people in my life, Koda, the girls, my parents, even missing my siblings would be way hard. But because of the knowledge and faith I have in a greater plan, I know I will see them all again. So I guess the hardest thing would to not have that faith, to not know who my Savior is, to not have Jesus Christ in my life. So he tops my list, and right after it's Koda.
